SAE Projects

Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) is a student development program that can be made up of multiple enterprises and activities, including research, entreprenuerial and/or placement enterprises, development of supplemental skills, learning activities,and improvement proects impacting the student's SAE, home, school, or community. SAE is a required component of the total agricultural education program.

Kristen B.

Kristen started her pumpkin business the summer following her freshman year. She grows several different varieties of pumpkins/gourds on a 1/4 acre plot on her family's acreage. She sells them in September-October at her home and at various locations around Adel. Her thriving business is a big hit in our community!

Madi F.

Madi started working as a lab assistant at Hawkeye Breeders in 2019. She spends the majority of her time completing various tasks such as cleaning equipment, making semen extender, and prepping materials for Hawkeye's AI Technicians. She has learned valuable skills that she can take with her in her future career!
